GLP-1/GIP Weight Loss Injection
Service Description
Our compounded Tirzepatide, is a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and GLP-1 receptor agonist. In addition to activating GLP-1 receptors like Semaglutide, it also activates GIP receptors, which stimulate insulin secretion from the pancreas in response to food intake. By targeting both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, Tirzepatide is more effective in promoting weight loss than GLP-1 receptor agonists alone. About Compounded Medications: The practice of compounding is highly regulated by the FDA. Congress passed the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act which contains very rigorous standards for compounding pharmacies within the DQSA chapters of the act. To date, there have been no reports of patient harm from compounded Semaglutide other than the most commonly listed side effects seen with the branded Semaglutide which would include nausea, vomiting, and slowed bowel transit times. When patients see negative media reporting concerning compounded Semaglutide, they would be well advised to consider the purpose behind the negative reporting- to create an emotional bias against compounding pharmacy and their products.
